GameMate Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 3, 2026
GameMate is operated by The Walker Group, based in Oklahoma, United States. For privacy questions and requests, contact thewalkergroup.gamemate@gmail.com.
Availability and who GameMate is for
The initial beta is offered only to invited adults in the United States. Every part of GameMate is for people aged 18 or older, including Gaming Friends. We ask for your date of birth to check eligibility. Your full birthday is not displayed on your profile. If you believe an under-18 person has an account, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. A declared birthday or verified email is not proof of identity or age.
Information in this beta
When you create and use an account, we process:
- Your email address, authentication records, email-verification status, and secure-session information. Password authentication is handled by Supabase; GameMate does not keep plaintext passwords in a profile or analytics record.
- Your date of birth, acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy, acceptance time, and account timezone. Your birthday is kept separately from your profile. Timezone supports daily allowance calculations when rewarded ads become available.
- Your gamer name, bio, profile visibility, personality-badge preference, onboarding choices, and optional quiz answers/result. Onboarding may include gender, religion, zodiac, relationship preferences, and other personal choices. Optional questions can be skipped.
- Cosmetic ownership and wallet records when those features become available. Merely previewing an animation is not a purchase or an ad completion.
- Information you provide when asking for help or making a privacy or safety request.
- Technical information associated with requests to our hosting and authentication services, such as IP addresses, request times, and error/security logs. These records help our providers operate and secure the service.
The currently built community panels do not provide live public profiles, messaging, squad calls, media posting, or advertising. They must not be treated as services that are already processing those categories of content. We will update this notice and relevant in-app disclosures before enabling them.
Why we use information
We use account information to register and authenticate members, verify email addresses, restore sessions, enforce the adult-only rule, save profiles/preferences, provide requested features, answer support requests, and protect the service against abuse. We use quiz responses to calculate the optional in-app badge. The current sample quiz is for entertainment and is not a psychological assessment.
We do not use optional religion, gender, relationship preferences, or quiz answers to target advertising in this beta.
Who can see information
The current beta database permits a signed-in, eligible member to access their own profile records. Live discovery and messaging between members are not enabled yet. A visibility choice in the beta is saved as a preference; it does not by itself create a publicly searchable profile.
We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. Our current backend project is in US West (Oregon). Service providers process information to operate those services under their applicable terms. Supabase currently provides the configured authentication-email service. A separate production email-delivery service has not been selected or connected. We will identify an additional provider here before using it to send account emails.
We may disclose information when required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, threats, or security incidents. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in this beta. We will update this notice before introducing a different use.
Policy-site visitors
These policy pages are hosted using Cloudflare Pages. The hosting service may process connection information, such as an IP address and request time, to deliver and secure the pages. These pages do not create GameMate accounts, collect deletion requests through a web form, or add advertising or analytics scripts. A deletion-request link prepares an email in your chosen email app; it does not send anything until you choose to send it. Your email provider processes that message under its own terms.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your gamer name and bio, skip optional questions, retake the quiz, and choose whether to show your personality badge. Account/privacy settings include a saved visibility preference.
Contact thewalkergroup.gamemate@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your information. We may need proportionate information to verify that the request concerns your account. Do not email your password, login code, or identity documents unless a separately reviewed, secure verification process specifically requires them.
During this private beta, use our account-deletion request page to prepare an email request to the contact above. The automatic in-app deletion option is not enabled yet. Removing an app from your phone does not by itself delete its cloud account.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information; withdraw a consent; limit certain processing; and appeal a denied request. To make a request or appeal, email the contact above and state what you want us to review. We will verify requests proportionately and respond within the applicable period. You may also contact your state attorney general or other appropriate regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. This beta does not sell personal information or use cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and profile information while your account is active and needed to provide the beta. When we verify a deletion request, we remove the account and associated active profile information, subject to applicable legal obligations. Information needed for a specific unresolved security incident, dispute, or legal duty may be kept only for that purpose for the necessary period. Support correspondence is kept as needed to resolve your request and address related follow-up or applicable obligations. Technical logs and any provider-managed residual copies follow the configured provider retention lifecycle rather than disappearing instantly with an account deletion. We assess necessity, purpose, applicable duties, and provider configuration when determining retention.
Security and transfers
We restrict database access and use protected authentication/session mechanisms. No service can guarantee complete security. Keep your account credentials private and report suspected compromise to thewalkergroup.gamemate@gmail.com.
The beta is intended for United States participants, and its primary backend is hosted in the United States. Our providers may use personnel, infrastructure, or subprocessors in other locations under their service terms. Contact us for questions about the providers used for your account. We will reassess this notice and any required transfer arrangements before offering GameMate outside the United States.
Changes
We will show the effective date of the published version and give notice of material changes through an appropriate channel. New features that introduce new uses of personal information will require an updated notice and any necessary choices before that processing starts.
